Directions: The easiest way to avoid getting lost is to take Rt. 3 north to Rt. 40.

Take Rt. 40 west for 5 miles until you see signs for NEROC Haystack Observatory and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Turn right at the signs and drive 1.5 miles on Millstone Rd. to the Haystack Observatory. The security gate will be open. The drive will be about 25 minutes from the center of Carlisle.
